Extrusion Workshop

Project Description

A plastic working method that flows out of a specific die hole to obtain the desired cross-sectional shape and size, and is mainly used for the production of bars, tubes and profiles of stainless steel, nickel-based superalloys and refractory alloys.

Hot extrusion is the earliest extrusion technology used in several extrusion processes. It is a variety of extrusion molding of metal by means of the good plasticity of the material at hot forging temperature. At present, hot extrusion is mainly used to manufacture long sections, profiles, pipes, rods and various machine parts of ordinary equal sections.

Hot extrusion can not only form non-ferrous metals and their alloys with low plasticity, relatively low strength, low- and medium-carbon steels, but also high-carbon and high-alloy steels with high strength, such as special structure, stainless steel and high speed. Tool steel and heat resistant steel. Since the billet must be heated to the hot forging temperature for extrusion, it is often accompanied by more serious heating defects such as oxidation and decarburization, which affects the dimensional accuracy and surface roughness of the extruded part. In general, after the machine parts are hot extruded, machining such as cutting is used to improve the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the parts.
